  • After spending a week where it was cold and rainy, King Hotpot in East Vic Park was very high on our to-eat-at list. We discovered this spot while walking by one day, and have been very keen regulars since. They do the first and only moving hotpot train in Perth. Each person gets their own hotpot (no need to share if your tastes differ!), and you can choose from a range of different soup bases and different levels of spiciness for the spicy bases. There is an insane amount of choice when it comes to veggies, vegetarian ingredients, seafood, meats and even noodles.   • Winter is coming. Run for cover little roo! (I thought it was awesome that this roo decided to stop and pose for a picture, but turns out it was just ... look closely near it’s tail...) These are Western Grey Kangaroos, but they're a lot smaller than the ones you get elsewhere, and super cute and friendly. If you do head down to Lucky Bay, they'll happily hop up to and around you in search of food.
